Ms. Guerrero Ms. Cointa Guerrero Arcos was born and raised in Mexico. She got her degree in education in Mexico, finishing her credential in the US. She took several courses in Ohio, UC Berkeley Extension, the University of Pacific, UCR Extension, Humboldt State University, and the UC San Diego Extension. She came to the Bay Area because it is one of the most beautiful places in the US and for its ethnically diverse community.

Ms. Guerrero got into teaching because she loves languages, loves to communicate with people, wants to interact with people, and wanted to travel more. She used to teach Spanish to heritage speakers at another school, but wanted to move on and teach Spanish to English speakers. She asked some colleagues and they recommended that she go to Montera where there was an opening to teach Spanish. Ms. Guerrero’s goal for her students is for them to understand, learn, and communicate in Spanish. She hopes all her students will continue learning the language throughout high school and become fluent in Spanish.

Some of Ms. Guerrero’s hobbies include hiking and traveling around California and neighboring states. She lives in Alameda with her husband and her passion in life is teaching and sharing knowledge. In the future, she wants to continue to be happy and have a good life. She also wants to learn more about new teaching strategies and techniques while continuing to live and teach in California. She is also very passionate about traveling and visiting more beautiful places in the US and around the world and will continue to do so in the future.
