Healing Spaces 3
August 13 - 6:30pm - 8:30pm
“Healing Spaces” was designed in response to George Floyd’s murder and the centuries of American white supremacy that allowed it to happen. We see the need in our community for necessary hard conversations and hope that through honest dialogue and emotional transparency, we can create the space for healing and change. Our previous sessions have addressed the experience of being Black in America and how racism and white supremacy have shaped our institutions and family histories.
Our third conversation will focus on stereotypes and microaggressions, particularly relating to how they show up in educational settings. We'll also discuss white accountability and the role that parents can play in raising anti-racist children.
