Menus are available on our website at There will be printable versions as well as instructions to access our online portal, Titan Online, where everyone can find additional nutritional information. We selected entree options (both hot and cold) based on feedback from students about their favorites. We are excited to announce that locally sourced fresh fruit from the Central Valley as well as raw vegetables will be offered at every summer school location.

In order to ensure student safety and remain fiscally responsible, summer school programs will have one of two models:

  1. Hot/Cold Lunch Sites: Nutrition Services employee onsite daily to serve hot and cold entrees
  2. Cold Lunch Sites: Other summer school staff distribute meals to students

The menu offered at each site is based on the projected number of students we anticipate will participate in the school meal program. Sites that are likely to serve 150+ students per day will receive a Nutrition Services staff member who has the skills and training to safely store, prepare and serve hot food.

The City of Oakland will also provide meals this summer for all children 18 years of age and younger as well as adults 19+ with disabilities who are enrolled in a school program. Check out their distribution locations here: City of Oakland Food Distribution Sites.

Our offices will be open throughout the summer. If you need assistance, please email or call our main office number at (510) 879-1700.
