Please R.S.V.P! bit.ly/sanctuaryRSVP
Join us to lift up awareness, healing, and community to represent for our sanctuary city and school district!
In solidarity with the Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees who are the target of recent deportation efforts, we are partnering with local organizations to raise awareness and resist double displacement and double punishment.
Daze of Justice follows a group of Cambodian American women who are civil parties in a historic trial against the Khmer Rouge. Given the opportunity to face the criminals who forever changed their lives, the women are joined by the son of one of their most hated enemies.
Filmmaker Mike Siv, who barely escaped the infamous "killing fields" of 1970s Cambodia, will introduce his film and join us for Restorative Justice circles to understand both the legacy and modern day persecution of the Southeast Asian American refugee community.
Restorative Justice circles provide an opportunity for attendees to share their stories, reflect on the documentary, and build community.
Teachers, students, families, school staff, and community members are welcome to join us as we share resources and action steps to transform unfair laws and stop deportations tearing apart our families.
