Teacher Recruitment Events
Talk with Schools: You can meet school leaders and hear about their school's available job opportunities in teaching, school support roles, and after-school programs for the 2019-20 school year.
Substitute Interviews: We will also conduct drop-in interviews for substitute positions--teachers, para-educators, instructional support specialists, Early Childhood Education, clerical, custodial, food service, and more. Everyone is welcome! Please bring copies of your resume and dress professionally as you could be offered an interview at the event.
Registration: Please register for a ticket for each of our events that you would like to attend. Events will be held in the multipurpose room at International Community School / Think College Now Elementary (see map below) on the following Wednesdays:

OUSD is hiring substitutes for the following positions (click for title for application): Substitute Teacher, Academic Mentor, Noon Supervisor, Custodian, Food Service Assistant, Clerical, Para Educator, Instructional Assistant CDC, Instructional Support Specialist, Early Childhood Substitute Teacher, and School Security Officer.

Interviews will take place at 1000 Broadway, Oakland, 94607. We'll be on the 6th Floor in the Lake Merritt and Laurel Conference rooms. Please bring copies of your resume.
College Students: You can be a substitute teacher NOW!
Please visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for more information. Requirements are:
1. 90+ semester units completed
2. Verification of current enrollment
3. Meet the basic skills requirement (through one of the following:
CBEST, SAT, ACT, CSU EAP or EPT/ELM, or math and English AP exams).
4. Apply with CTC and pass background check.
