The Montera Auction Team would like to thank everyone who attended the Mardi Gras Auction at the California Ballroom! There were 185 attendees including dozens of Montera staff. We had a great time and hope you did too! Thank you also to everyone who bid and donated. The California Ballroom is looking for photographs to put on their website. Hog and Oyster Party 40 spots open

Come join other Montera families for an afternoon of great tailgating food and drink on August 23, 2020, and then watch Oakland A's beat the NY Mets. You and the other attendees will be treated to an amazing Mexican inspired spread of food and beverages (adult and kid-friendly) while being entertained by music and good company.

Beer Making Party 3 spots open
Come help brew a one-of-a-kind beer! Ryan will walk you through the steps and you can help, or you can just hang out and chat, drink beer, and eat food. This is the fourth year running and not only is it a great time but it also helps Montera. But wait, there's more! Once the beer is ready, you'll receive a 64 oz. growler to take home and enjoy!

Join everyone for a fun hike with families and our four-footed friends. Take a 3-mile trek through Joaquin Miller/Redwood Park that starts and ends at Trudeau Training Center off of Skyline Drive. After the hike, we’ll have refreshments for both pets and people :)

"It’s a Lucky Day for Montera Readers!”
Join us for a fun Shamrock-inspired event to share the love of reading at Montera, and to grow teacher and student libraries too! Attendees pay $25/each, except Montera teachers and current & prospective Montera students attend for free. Families may select 1 book of their choice for every 2 middle school level books they donate to the event (vouchers provided at the door); Montera teachers may select 5 books each for their school libraries. Please bring all lightly used quality “young adult” literature (fiction & non-fiction) that you are willing to donate to our teachers, students & school library. Light snacks will be provided. Wear something green to be entered into the Bonus Book Raffle!

Poker Night! 8 spots open
Come join the Litchy/Munoz Family for a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament-style poker party in their home. Hang out, enjoy the adult beverages, buffet-style dinner, and go up against the poker sharks of Montera. No kids. There is a $30 additional buy-in the night of the party, which you exchange for chips, with the top three players winning all the $$$ at the end of the night.

Join us at Tootsie's Shoe Boutique and sister store Crush Clothing Boutique on College Avenue for a fun Girls Night Out to mix, mingle, drink, eat some lite bites, and shop. Montera daughters are invited to attend for free. For anything you may select from Tootsie’s fabulous women’s shoe selection or the latest fashions next door at Crush, they will generously donate 20% of the sales proceeds to the Montera PTO. You can also just come and catch up with friends.

Oaklandish Cornhole Tournament 10 spots open
Head over to the Entrekin's’ backyard for an Oakland-style cornhole tournament. This party will feature food from local restaurants, plenty of drink to fill your cup (including local beer, Mai Tais, and Greyhounds), and of course a playlist from home-grown artists such as Blackalicious, The Coup, and Tower of Power, to name a few. The tournament will be single-elimination and prizes for tournament champion and runner up will be Oakland-themed. Please arrive promptly so teams can be chosen and play can start right away. Participants are encouraged to come styled in their favorite Oakland gear (A’s, Raiders, Warriors, or the Oaklandish Tree) to represent love for the best city by the bay.
