Overview

What we do best is exemplified in our core values: Respect, Responsibility, Reflection, Ganas, & Making College a Reality.

Think College Now's vision is to ensure that all students have the tools to choose their life's path and desired occupation with an equitable opportunity to attend college and pursue their dreams. We believe that access to college is the key to bringing about educational equity for our children.

We work relentlessly to help our students develop habits to make the dramatic student achievement gains required for college entrance. We believe that with high expectations, an early start with a college focus, more time, data to drive instruction and monitor our progress, family and community involvement, and an outstanding staff, Think College Now students can reach their goals.

Think College Now received the California Distinguished School Award (2008, 2014) and the Title I Academic Achievement Award (2008, 2010).

Our vision and theory of action took shape around the idea that all Oakland students needed to be "thinking college," and not just as high school seniors. It has to start early. It has to start now--in transitional kindergarten.
