Overview
The Carl B. Munck community is united in its commitment to provide students with a caring and challenging learning environment, which empowers them to become responsible and productive citizens in a global society.
Our school community ensures a safe, nurturing environment that enables students to actively engage in powerful, rigorous learning and consistently demonstrate their academic success by multiple measures.
Carl Munck students thrive when they are thinking critically, creatively, and solving complex problems while also being respectful, responsible, caring, and compassionate. Engaged families/parents are crucial to the success of Carl Munck students. An active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) aligns with the school’s vision to provide fundraisers, programs and activities, and other community building events. Family Literacy and Science Nights support family engagement with student learning and parent workshops.
School Site Council members meet to provide input for the Single Plan for Student Achievement and related budget allocations. Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) is our approach with assisting students and adults to build social emotional awareness. Students are trained as junior coaches, where they lead and support recess games. Students have opportunity to receive recognition as "Student of the Month."
