Overview

At Brookfield Elementary School, we believe in the old African proverb “It Takes A Village To Raise A Child”. We know it takes a community of different people interacting with children for those children to experience and grow academically, socially, and emotionally, in a safe environment.

Brookfield's focus is ensuring that all students are reading at grade level by the end of 2nd grade. Over the past two years, we have had excellent growth and success in our students’ language and literacy acquisition. In fact, Brookfield made some of the greatest gains in OUSD in the 2021-22 school year.

Brookfield students find joy in a nurturing, rigorous, and intentionally equitable student-centered academic experience, while developing the skills to ensure they are maintaining integrity, being accountable for their actions, being responsible, having respect for self and others, strong critical thinkers who are prepared for college, career, and life, and ultimately, competent to compete in a diverse global community.

We are a safe, healthy, high‐quality, full service community school focused on academic achievement in a Science Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) integrated setting. Brookfield serves the whole child, eliminating inequity, and providing each student with excellent instruction. Brookfield is the ideal place for students and families who wish to be part of an evolving school community dedicated to student success.
