CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL EXIT EXAM (CAHSEE) - Suspended and No Longer Required Intensive Instruction & Services Program
According to the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson (8/28/15), http://www.cde.ca.
"Senate Bill 725 (Hancock) was signed by the Governor and chaptered into law on August 26, 2015. This law suspends passage of the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) as a condition for receiving a diploma of graduation or a condition of graduation from high school for a student who has met all other high school graduation requirements in school year 2014-15. Local educational agencies may immediately begin issuing diplomas to students."

If you believe you are eligible for a diploma, after the CASHEE Exam was suspended, you can go to the following link: https://ousdca.
At the bottom left side, you will see a logo that says CAHSEE. Please complete the form and our District Registrar will look-up your transcripts and can issue a diploma, if you met all other graduation requirements.
SB 172 signed into law by Governor Brown on October 7, 2015, states that beginning with the graduation class of 2006, students are no longer required to meet the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) requirements to earn a high school diploma. A person who previously failed to receive a high school diploma or was denied graduation solely for failing to meet the CAHSEE requirement may complete the following on-line application to determine the student’s eligibility to receive a high school diploma. After your application is reviewed, you will be contacted with next steps. If your request is approved, ONE copy of your high school diploma will be sent to you free of charge. Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your diploma. Additional copies may be requested through our regular online ordering process for the regular fee.
