Transfers

The Oakland Athletic League (OAL), in partnership with the CIF Oakland Section, is committed to ensuring that student-athlete transfers are handled fairly, consistently, and in accordance with CIF eligibility regulations.

Students transferring between schools may be subject to specific eligibility requirements based on their enrollment history, residency, prior athletic participation, and the circumstances surrounding the transfer. Families are encouraged to work closely with their school’s Athletic Director to complete all required transfer documentation and receive an official eligibility determination before participating in interscholastic competition.

Our goal is to provide a clear and transparent process while protecting the integrity of high school athletics and supporting every student-athlete’s educational experience.
