The Center Environment, Food, and Garden Programs

The OUSD Central Kitchen, Education Center, and Instructional Garden/Farm is a new facility located at 2850 West Street. While aligning with Nutrition Services and the school food production housed there, the Environment, Food, and Garden (EFG) Team collaboratively develops programs that link the environment, food, and gardens at our facility and for OUSD school sites.

They also provide hands-on programs for TK–12th grade and Young Adult students across the district, connecting learning to food, gardens, and the environment on site at The Center.

Their EFG programs are rooted a dynamic pedagogy that emphasizes interactive, hands-on, and culturally relevant learning and teaching. They connect students, families, and community members with resources, tools, and events to increase access to healthy food.
