In OUSD, all school meals are legally required to meet nutrition standards that are set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This means that every item on our menus was curated to follow the School Breakfast Program meal pattern and the School Lunch Program meal pattern. These meal patterns inform school food providers what nutrients they must offer to k-12 children on a daily and weekly basis.
OUSD families can view the nutrition facts for all school food items by using LINQ Connect, the new Titan Family Portal. You do not need an account to view nutrition information.
Follow these instructions to view the nutrition facts of your school's food:
2. Move your cursor to the drop-down menu labeled "School Services" located in the righthand corner of the main page. Hover your cursor over the "School Services" tab. A drop down menu will appear. Click the "School Menus" tab.
3. Enter in "Oakland Unified School District" in the search tab. Select the option that reads: "Oakland Unified School District - NEW (Oakland, California)." Then, click the blue "Continue" button.
4. You will now be on the OUSD School Menus page. Move your cursor to the righthand corner of the page. You will be able to select school by clicking the top button that says "School", and then select a school.
5. Once you have your school selected, you can move your cursor to the lefthand corner of the page. Select whether you want to see the breakfast, lunch, or supper menus. You can also select which month's menu you would like to see.
6. Scroll down to the calendar part of the page and select a menu item. You will see the item's nutrition information pop up.
