Our Funding

The Nutrition Services Team does its work within a very tight budget of approximately $15 million annually. Nutrition Services departments state-wide aim to be self-supporting, which means they strive to NOT require contributions from the District's General Fund. For each compliant meal served, we receive funds from Federal and California government programs. Thanks to these programs, we are able to offer meals at no cost to every student in our district.
