6:00 PM - 7:00 PM 8th Grade Activities Planning Meeting (in Library)
Our Montera Cheerleaders are competing at the Oakland Sports and Cheer Championship Extravaganza on March 24th from 11am-12:30pm at Oakland Tech HS. They are asking for some Toro spirit to come and support them and our school. Please attend wearing Black and Gold. CROWD PARTICIPATION IS A HUGE PART OF THE OVERALL SCORE.
Challenge Day is coming to Montera again! A Challenge Day is a powerful, high-energy full day of experiential activities in which participants explore challenging community issues such as violence, teasing, social oppression, racism, harassment, conflict management, suicide, peer pressure, alcohol and drugs. All 7th graders are invited to participate. In order to have Challenge Day, we need YOUR support. Each day, we will need about 20 adult small group leaders to hold space for our students. If you (or someone you know) are available on March 12th, 15th, and/or 27th from 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM, please sign-up. For details, click on the title above.
On January 1st, 2018, the legalization of recreational use marijuana became reality for persons 21 and over, granting youth greater access to not just smoke-able marijuana but to a multitude of THC products many of which we know little about.
