History

The Latino Student Achievement (LSA) Office launched in July 2017, with guidance from our diverse Latino youth serving agencies, community leaders, students, and advocates participating in our Latino Student Achievement Community Task Force.
Coming together in June 2017, the LSA Community Task Force identified five key areas to advance Latino student achievement:
- Recruiting and retaining Latino educators
- Affirming Latino identity, history and culture through student leadership and classroom engagement
- Strengthening Latino family engagement linked to student learning
- Preschool Enrollment
- Family Engagement
