Oakland Unified School District

CTE Hub

As one of the "Four Pillars" in Linked Learning's approach to high-quality education through the integration of CTE, Rigorous Academics, Personalized Supports, and Work-Based Learning. Once known as Regional Occupation Programs (ROP) and Vocational Education, CTE is OUSD's method of contextualizing learning for our high school students as we work to support all OUSD youth in being College and Career Ready.

Oakland Unified School District has several Career Partnership Academies which date back to the 1980s. Our schools also have several Linked Learning pathways supported by Oakland's Measure N parcel tax. In 2022-23, over 83% of 10th-12th grade high school students are participating in career pathways, reflecting that we are closing in on our 100% goal.
