Did you know your child can earn up to $500 for college or career?
Oakland Promise and the City of Oakland are offering K-8th grade students the opportunity to receive up to $500 in Oakland Promise Scholarship funds for college and career. This scholarship is open to all K-8th grade students attending an Oakland public district or charter school. Oakland public school students earn $100 in Kindergarten, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th grades, totaling up to $500 in FREE money for college or career.

The Kindergarten to College team at Oakland Promise is here to support students throughout their academic careers with the Keep on Moving Kits! Your student will receive either a purple Kindergarten kit or a blue 5th-grade kit from Oakland Promise this week. These bags contain educational materials and are designed to inspire students to begin thinking about college and careers early on. Oakland Promise offers a free K-8 grade scholarship where students can earn up to $500 for college and career. You can sign up for the K-8th grade scholarship by following the instructions on the attached flyer or using the scholarship flyer located in your student's Keep on Moving Kit.
