Oakland Built
Overview
Inspired by former Deputy Chief of Facilities, Tim White, the name Oakland Built represents the collective efforts in improving the quality of our schools through bond measures passed by Oakland, CA residents. The Facilities Department works to fulfill the scope of Oakland Built projects and collaborates with OUSD Measures B, J, and Y Independent Citizen Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) to ensure appropriate spending oversight. Through Oakland Built, the Facilities Department has implemented a rigorous communications and public engagement plan that aims to keep school community members informed and involved.
