Buildings and Grounds
Buildings & Grounds is a department within the Facilities Planning and Management department of the Oakland Unified School District. Our team is responsible for the maintenance and management of 150 facilities in the District. Additionally, we work closely with school sites and central offices to understand and meet their short and long-term maintenance needs. On average, we process 2,400 service requests per month and 28,800 annually, excluding routine, preventative maintenance, special projects, and upgrades.
