Hub Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Programs
2025-2026 School Year
In the 2025-2026 school year, we will host two TK hub sites: one at Kaiser ECE, located at 25 S. Hill Road and one at Hintil CDC, located at 11850 Campus Drive near the Carl B. Munck Elementary campus. The Kaiser TKs will serve Chabot, Crocker, and Hillcrest students; the Hinitl CDC will serve Redwood Heights Elementary. TK students will attend school at the hub sites throughout the school year and will matriculate into kindergarten at their respective campuses without needing to reapply.
For enrollment prioritization purposes, these TK classes are treated as if they were physically located at the elementary campus. This means that a family would have neighborhood priority if they already lived within the established neighborhood boundaries for the respective schools --not the hub location. They would have sibling priority if a sibling currently attends one of those schools -- not the hub location.
2026-2027 School Year
In the 2026-2027 school year, we will host two types of TK hub sites:
- Hubs for schools with NO TKs at their campus at all. These schools were otherwise completely physically full when TK expansion began, and so we use the Hub strategy for their community to gain access to TK.
- Hubs for schools with a single TK, but lacking space for additional TKs. Here, the school will have one TK on campus, and one TK at the hub. Families can choose to apply separately to the hub TK, or not, depending on their preference.
Our Hub sites:
Kaiser Early Childhood Education center, located at 25 South Hill Road will serve schools with no TK on campus:
- Chabot Elementary
- Crocker Elementary
- Hillcrest Elementary
Burbank Early Childhood Education center, located at 3550 64th Avenue will serve schools with one TK on campus, and a second TK at the hub location:
- Glenview Elementary
Hintil Early Childhood Education center, located at 11850 Campus Drive (near Carl B. Munck Elementary) will serve schools with no TK on campus and schools with one TK one TK on campus/ one TK at the hub location
- Redwood Heights Elementary
- Sequoia Elementary
