7TH- AND 8TH-GRADE ORAL
HISTORY PODCASTS SPEAK VOLUMES
Based on ASCEND’s 7th- and 8th-grade spring Expo projects, National Public Radio may want to consider adding a few younger voices to its podcast roster. Working in the style of NPR’s This American Life, this semester students in Kristen Caputo and Katherine Suyeyasu’s classes recorded reflective, insightful audio pieces that capture the personal histories of both narrator and interviewee.
