• Dear Prospective Skyline Families,

Thank you for considering Skyline High School. Selecting the best high school for your child is an important decision! We welcome an opportunity to share as much as we can with you about our amazing school community. We are a Grade 9-12 public school in the Oakland Unified School District. We have worked hard to create a community feeling in a large comprehensive school. We offer a wide array of interesting and relevant programs to our students: academic, athletic, arts, and CTE options. Our students and teachers belong to small learning communities and members of our community place a strong importance on relationships. Our staff is committed to building and maintaining these relationships with students and families to support the diverse needs of our students. We are excited to invite you into our Titan community. To support our prospective families in their school selection process, we offer the following events:

Prospective Family Night Event (Wed., 11/9 from 6-8 pm)

Please join us in the theater to get an overview of our academic structure, including 9th grade Atlas Houses and 10-12 grade Career Tech Ed Pathways, electives offerings, Advanced Placement, student supports, sports programs, college and career support, and more.

School Tours (Wednesday's from 9-10:00 am)

Student-led tours every other Wednesday that take smaller groups around our beautiful campus. Stop in to see some classes in action. Hear directly from students about school-wide events, clubs, and other activities, Youth Center, pathway projects and field trips, elective classes, college planning, and more.

Sign up here for a School Tour.

    Shadow Days (Tues., 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31)

Students spend half of a school day with a current Skyline student! We ask that prospective students that participate in Shadow Day have completed a School Tour. Families should drop off their students between 8:40 and 8: 50 am. After some ice-breaker activities, students will attend morning classes with their Skyline partner students. Lunch will be provided and students will eat together. Families should plan to pick up their students between 12:30 - 12:45 pm.

The sign up window for shadow days has ended. Please sign up for a tour above if you would like to tour Skyline.

Participation in Middle School Option Fairs

Many middle schools in the area hold their own Option Fairs and invite surrounding high schools to participate. We participate in as many as we can. Please reach out to your middle school to hear about these events.

We look forward to seeing you at any or all of these events! Please reach our Teacher on Special Assignment, Nicholas Beasley (nicholas.beasley@Ousd.org) for questions related to enrollment and high school selection process.
