COVID/Sick Policy
Masks
-
Strongly recommended but not required unless the individual has tested COVID positive. Please see the guidance below.
-
If you have 3+ close contact exposures, you must wear a mask for at least 10 days from your last date of exposure.
Positive COVID
-
Positive student or staff member must quarantine for at least 5 days. Day 1 is the date you tested positive.
-
Individuals may return to school on Day 6 to 10 IF they are fever free for at least 24 hours AND show proof of a negative test taken on Day 6 or after.
-
Individuals must wear a mask until Day 10 if they return to school between Day 6 to Day 10.
-
-
Staff may return to school without a negative COVID test after Day 10 if they are symptom free.
Close Contact with a COVID Positive Individual
-
Please administer a rapid COVID test to your child every 2 days until 5-7 days have passed since the last date of exposure. You can also have your child tested at one of our regional COVID testing sites.
-
If your child is symptomatic, but tests negative, please keep them at home until symptoms subside or you have a doctor's note stating that the symptoms are not Covid-19 related and that it is safe for your child to return to school.
Symptomatic Student Policy
-
If a student shows COVID symptoms or any other symptoms of illness, the family will be contacted immediately. Parents are expected to arrive within 30 minutes to pick up the student. Families will be provided a COVID test kit for testing.
-
Students will need to stay home until symptoms show signs of improvement.
