-
Hello Castlemont Community!
As we are wrapping up the 2020-2021 school year, we are now planning for the Summer School Session for all students (grades 9 - 12)! If you have received an "F" in any course from grades 9-12, you should attend suummer school to recover those credits REQUIRED for graduation! Summer School is an opportunity to retake 2 classes that you may have failed during the school year in order to receive credit towards graduation. This year Summer School at Castlemont High School will be virtual, from June 7 - July 2. Also, the Learning Hubs will be available for students that would like to receive in-person support. Counselors will assign students to courses based on their transcripts.Once the counselors have added the summer courses in AERIES, you and your families will receive a text message from the online platform called OSCAR. You will be using OSCAR to sign forms in order to register for Summer School. If you do not complete the forms you will not be able to attend Summer School. If you and your family are having difficulties completing the form you can contact Counselor Mr. Joel Villalobos via email: joel.villalobos@ousd.org. He can support you in completing the registration forms.Castlemont Virtual Summer School Schedule:Monday - FridayPeriod 1: 8:15 - 11:15Asynchronous: 8:15 - 9:45Synchronous: 9:45 - 11:15 (Zoom)LUNCH: 11:15 - 12:00Period 2: 12:00 - 3:00Synchronous: 12:00 - 1:30 (Zoom)Asynchronous: 1:30 - 3:00To sign up for summer school, email the counseling team:In-Person Learning HubsThere will be a limited number of spaces for students to attend in-person learning hubs.
