• Ms. Farmer joined the Wildcat family in 2019 as a Literacy Instructional Coach. Prior to coming to Garfield, Ms. Farmer was an ELD Specialist for 10-12th grade students and taught transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, 4th, and 5th grade in Denver, Colorado. This is her 14th year working in public education. During these teaching positions, she also coached Speech and Debate at the high school level and Girls on the Run for elementary students. Ms. Farmer is a proud product of public schools and the daughter of two retired teachers.

    Ms. Farmer is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.S. in Textile & Apparel Management, and a Master's Degree in Education Curriculum & Instruction: Urban Education from the University of Denver. Currently, she is studying at the University of Southern California's School Leadership Academy. In her free time, Ms. Farmer likes to train for triathlons, spend time with her family, friends, and dog, and visit interesting places in California.
