Dual Enrollment
-
In partnership with Peralta Community Colleges, our Dual Enrollment program allows students who are still in high school to take college-level courses. Students earn credit towards high school graduation, while at the same time earning college credits (3 Peralta Units = 10 OUSD Credits). These college classes are for Skyline students only and are taught by Peralta professors. We select courses based upon student interest and that are not part of our regular course offerings. We ensure that the courses we select are transferable to four-year colleges.
Registration fees, tuition and lab fees are waived for Dual Enrollment students - these classes are free! Students who complete the college class with a grade of C or higher receive a one point GPA boost. This is a great way to experience being a college student while still receiving high school support.
This Fall, our DE courses will be both in-person and virtual. Most fall outside of the school day, allowing more students to participate. Please view our course descriptions and info on registration in this DE Fall 2021 student flyer. Keep an eye out for announcements on upcoming informational sessions. For more info, please contact either Nanci Roman Gonzalez (nanci.romangonzalez@ousd.org) or Rebecca Huang (rebecca.huang@ousd.org).
(Please note that all courses are contingent upon minimum number of students on final roster and Peralta instructor availability.)
