• CUES Elementary School Community Partners  

     

    Community United Education is excited to have a long list of parters that provide programs for our students and familes. Below is list of community partners and brief description of their organizations. 

     

    Excel Reading Clinics- Excel Reading Clinics, trained volunteers provide weekly individualized instruction and reading support for school-designated primary grade students who have fallen or are falling behind

     

    Reading Partners- Reading Partners support students who are reading 1month to 2.5 years below grade-level. We recruit and train community volunteers to work one-on-one with students for 45 minutes twice a week

     

    Elev8 Youth Program (AmeriCorps)- Push in/pull out support for students that perform BB, FBB, on CST, or have an SRI and/or SMI score that places them in a similar category.

     

    Safe Passages After School Program- Consists of project-based enrichment, instrumental music and performing arts activities, including urban arts and drama. Provides homework help, tutoring and interventions for students to build their basic skills and gain the academic self confidence necessary for success at school and in the community.

     

    Destiny Arts- Destiny Arts Center is a multi-racial, multi-cultural non-profit organization committed to the development of youth’s minds, bodies, and spirits. Destiny Arts Center provides dance, theater, martial arts, conflict resolution, self-defense, and youth leadership classes and workshops

     

    Faith Network of East Bay- Caring School Community (CSC) program is a nationally recognized, research-based program for grades K–6 that builds classroom and schoolwide community while developing students’ social and emotional (SEL) skills and competencies.

     

    East Bay Agency for Children- Provides professional support for students who are referred through the coordination of service Team (COST)

     

    Oakland Housing Authority-  Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) currently provides subsidized housing to nearly 16,500 families. The largest landlord in Oakland, OHA serves a diverse community in neighborhoods throughout the city.

     

    Playworks- Partners with CUES through on-site staffing, consultative support, professional development, free resources, and more. Playworks support youth programs at our school and other that helps improve student playtime.


    SAFE Passages - Provides a high quality After School program five days week and provides homework support, afternoon snacks, evening dinner and a variety of physical activities for youth.
