Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Rosemary Rivera
Dear Fremont Families,
My name is Rosemary Rivera and I have had the privilege to work for the Fremont community as the Co-Principal since 2016. Over the past 17 years, I have worked in a variety of roles in education such as an elementary school teacher, family community liaison, and administrator. I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate. My goal is to spend a lot of time with students so that I can get to know their personalities, interests, and needs. I look forward to celebrating their successes, small or large.
Fremont is a safe and welcoming place where all students, families, and teachers want to be, as well as, where they feel their needs are being met and their voices are being heard. Our students will be presented with rigorous academic coursework, equitable opportunities in career pathways, industry certifications, work-based learning, early college, and advisory. With such academic pathways in place, our students will graduate as prepared alumni ready to enter their chosen college and/or career pathway.
One of Fremont High School’s best qualities is the attention each of our students receives from our staff members. Each and every adult is genuinely interested in encouraging all of our students every day and assuring them that they are valued. We believe that each and every student has a unique and significant place in the Fremont community. We are the best well-kept secret in Oakland and we hope that you join our family whether it be as a staff member, parent, or student.
