• The McClymonds Library Innovation Technology Center (LIT Center)

Vision: The McClymonds Library, Cafe, Africana Center and Maker Space is a vibrant, inviting, culturally relevant teen centered space where students get excited about books, reading, collaborating, making, ideating, and dreaming about the possibilities for their lives. The Library is based on respect of the youth, therefore is a safe space physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Guiding principles: Teen centered, culturally relevant, state of the art and community minded.

In the video below, you can preview the architectural renderings of the LIT Center space at McClymonds HS. The project time for work to begin on the space is February of 2018 with a projected end date of October 2018 and Grand Opening in January 2019.
