¿Cómo se convertirá mi hijo en bilingüe y alfabetizado en dos idiomas?

A partir de Kinder, la mitad del día de su hijo/a será en inglés y la otra mitad será en español. A esto le llamamos modelo "50/50". Es probable que su hijo demuestre habilidades lingüísticas y de alfabetización de nivel de grado primeramente  en su idioma materna. Es posible que tenga un año de retraso en el idioma asociado, pero esperamos que para el quinto grado su hijo/a esté al nivel de grado en AMBOS inglés y español.

How will my child become bilingual and biliterate?

Beginning in Kinder, half of your child's day will be in English and the other half will be in Spanish.  We call this a "50/50" model.  Your child will likely demonstrate grade level language and literacy skills in his/her home language first.  He/she might be a year behind in the partner language, but we expect by 5th grade your child will be at grade level in BOTH English and Spanish.
