Many students come to Roosevelt needing social or emotional help. Some issues that students bring with them include mental or physical abuse, parental instability, and drug/alcohol abuse, although there are many others.
Roosevelt offers counseling to students by professional counselors and therapists free of service.
Roosevelt also offers a mentorship program, where students are assigned to an adult on campus who they check in with once a week for emotional and academic support.
If you are interested in either of these services, contact Elev8 Coordinator Jordan Haar at (510) 535-2788 or jhaar@safepassages.org.
