Oakland High School’s Public Health Academy is a three year program that focuses on academic rigor and education planning towards careers in public health and policy. Public health problems involve complex and interrelated social, behavioral, legal, medical and economic issues. Graduates of the Public Health Academy will develop and implement interventions to improve the health and education outcomes of their own communities, while being introduced to the growing field of public health and policy.
