Time to Enroll for the 2026 to 2027 School Year

Believe it or not, it is time to start planning for the 2026-2027 school year! The on-time enrollment period to enroll your student for next year opens Wednesday, December 3, and will remain open until February 8, 2026.

Enrolling during the on-time window gives you the best chance to ensure that your child is able to access all the educational opportunities Oakland Unified School District offers its students and families.

When the on-time enrollment window opens Wednesday, December 3rd, go to ChooseOUSD.org and select "log-in."

All current OUSD families have had accounts pre-loaded. Please do not create a new account, as this will erase all of your child’s information. Follow the directions to reset your password using the email address or phone number of the primary contact person for your child’s Aeries account. From there, you’ll be able to select, rank, and apply to schools. Please see the attached "how-to" for additional guidance.

This application process is only for families moving to a new school for the 2026-27 school year. If your child remains at their current school, no action is needed.

We want to announce an exciting change for this year. For the first time ever, you can submit your application for After-School Programs on Enrollwise. If you want your child to participate in After- or Before-School Programs, once you complete your main application for schools, you will have the option to then apply for After-School right in the Enrollwise portal. No additional applications will be needed. You will then be notified of acceptances through Enrollwise just like day school!
