Summer Learning Opportunities are Here

As we look toward the end of the school year, we remain committed to our vision that every student finds joy in their academic experience while preparing for future success. This holds true over summer break as well. This summer, OUSD plans to serve more than 7,000 students (from Pre-K to Young Adult) across our summer learning programs.

Whether your child needs academic support or full-day enrichment, we have resources for you and your family. Please find information about summer offerings below.

OUSD Summer Learning Programs

Focus: Academic support and enrichment led by OUSD teachers and Summer Lead Agencies

Important Dates: Enrollment for TK-8 students opened on March 30. (Note: ESY/SPED enrollment opened the week of March 23).

Follow these steps in Enrollwise to secure a spot:

Step 1: Log in to your chooseousd.org account and select "Summer". Review the program details of interest and click SUBMIT.
This means we received your information. Spots are awarded based on priority levels, not on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

Step 2: Central Office staff will verify seat availability for your child’s grade and priority level.
This means that if a spot is available, you will receive an OFFER via text or email.

Step 3: Log back into chooseousd.org and click ACCEPT.
Action Required: A short form for Emergency Contacts and Waivers will pop up immediately after you accept. You must complete this form to officially enroll your child.

Independent Community-Based Programs

Focus: Full-day enrichment run by OUSD-funded community partners.

These programs are mainly enrichment-based and do not include the same academics found in district programs. Enrollment opened on March 23.

• Enrollment is handled via the InPlay tool. 
• Get Your Invite: Families will receive invites via text. To see a tailored list of programs, visit inplay.org/invites/summer-program and enter your phone number.
