I Invite You to Join Me in Celebrating Our Amazing Staff Throughout May

Like many of you, I am excited that we are now just over three weeks away from the first of our 2026 graduations. This is an important time of growth for our students and celebration with staff, families, friends, and supporters. Also, after a long school year, our educators can see the light at the end of the tunnel, with summer break almost here.

It’s perhaps no coincidence that Educator Appreciation Month is in May, so we can remind all of our staff how appreciated they are as many, but not all, head off into a well-deserved vacation. I plan to do that every chance I get, and I hope you will join me in this effort, whether you are thanking the staff who support your students, or you are celebrating your co-workers here in the District.

• May 18-22 - Classified School Employee Week

We will be celebrating many amazing district employees at our annual Honoring Our Own Celebration coming up in May, and we will share more information about our employees across the organization as we progress through the month.

The last few weeks of the school year are sure to be over in a flash. So, I ask you to take the time to thank our incredible staff in our schools and across the District. I thank you for honoring the remarkable people who work in support of our students every day.
