Dr. Clifford Thompson is an Oroville, CA native. He is one of 19 children. He attended elementary school through high school in Oroville, and after graduating from Las Plumas High School, he went on to attend and graduate from UC Davis.

He served as an assistant professor at Patten University, where he was the Leadership Chair in the Education Department. While at Patten, Dr. Thompson taught Value and Ethics, Effective Communication, Human Resources, Educational Law, School Finance, and Multicultural Seminar.

Dr. Thompson has worked in the field of education for 40 years. He has worked as a classroom teacher and Teacher on Special Assignment for 17 years, and an administrator for 20 years. Presently, Dr. Thompson is working as an Educational Consultant and 5th grade teacher in the West Contra Costa Unified School District. He works with schools on systems alignment by developing processes and procedures that can be implemented universally. Additionally, Dr. Thompson tutors children who are part of a community tutoring project in the East Oakland area, where he presently resides.
