OUSD Students Leading the Way!

Oakland students have been at the forefront of organizing for immigrant rights, solidarity across communities of color, and to ensure that schools are safe spaces for all students.

The Sanctuary Schools Taskforce includes All City Council Student Union's Culture & Climate Director to ensure that students are represented and co-leading district efforts.

Former and current ACC students have helped to launch student engagement projects for OUSD students to explore sanctuary issues and build solidarity:
