Invest in Your Children — Invest in Montera
The Montera Parent-Teacher Organization funds school needs big and small not covered by the school budget — from essential things like books and classroom supplies to the extras that enrich students' lives, like field trips and music programs. We can't do it without you —your tax-deductible donation ensures that our kids keep on getting the things they need to thrive. Your donation helps sustain our success.
The PTO budget for the 2023-2024 school year is $175,000. We are asking families to give what they can. Suggested donation is $450 per student. Donations range from $10-$2,000.
Mark your calendars! Fall Fest is on October 28 from 2-5 pm. Planning and preparation for this year's community-building and celebration event is underway. Sign up as a volunteer now to help ensure another successful Montera event.

Good news: Montera has just been added to the Alameda County Student Transit Pass Program, which gives students free Clipper cards to take the bus to school. Eligible students (which should be all Montera students) get a FREE Youth Clipper card that provides unlimited free rides on AC Transit. Students can also add cash value to the Clipper card for 50% off BART fares and youth discounts on other transit systems that use Clipper.
To get your pass, start here: https://stpp.formstack.com/forms/ousd_monterams and fill out the application form.
If you have a Clipper card already, a Student Transit Pass will be added to your existing Youth Clipper card electronically. If you don't have a Clipper card yet, a card will be shipped to the school and distributed to your student there. Please note that it may take 4 to 6 weeks for your new STPP Clipper card to be delivered due to the high volume of applications.
