    What is Dual Language? / ¿Que es Doble Lenguaje?

    • A program that develops bilingualism and biliteracy in English and Spanish by integrating students of different language proficiencies.
    • Es un programa que desarrolla el bilingüismo y la biliteracidad en inglés español integrando a estudiantes de diferentes competencias lingüísticas.

    Program Goals / Objetivos del Programa

    • All students, regardless of language, racial or socioeconomic background, become fully bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate by 8th grade.  In K-5 programs, students are at grade level minimally in one language and approaching grade level in the other language.  
    • Todos los estudiantes, independientemente de su idioma, antecedentes raciales o socioeconómicos, son completamente bilingües, biculturales y biliteratos en el 8º grado. En los programas K-5, los estudiantes están al nivel de grado en un idioma y se acercan al nivel de grado en el otro idioma.
