        We know that it's important to find someone who either “gets it” personally, or is at least open to understanding your unique needs. Below we highlight some mental & emotional health care resources that cater to BIPOC communities. 

        • African American Male Achievement is designed to dramatically improve academic and ultimately life outcomes for African American male students in Oakland.

        • The Asian Pacific Islander Student Achievement (APISA) programs lift up the diverse API populations in Oakland for every student to thrive, achieve and succeed in OUSD.

        • The Latino Student Achievement provides Latino students the academic, social, and emotional support they need to succeed in college, career, and life.

        • BEAM Black Emotional Mental Health Resources: Journal prompts, self-care, and grounding practices. 

        • Therapy for Black Girls.

        • Asian Mental Health Collective makes mental health easily available, approachable, and accessible to Asian communities worldwide.

        • Ayana Therapy is a therapy matcher for POC. 

        • LatinxTherapy is a directory of LatinX & Spanish-speaking therapists to help you find the right therapist. The platform now also includes resources for undocumented individuals seeking mental health services.
