• OUSD Improves Air Filters and Access to Outdoor Dining

The District has been consistently improving the physical safety features of its facilities. (See slides 15-17 in the January 12 Superintendent’s Report for more information.)

This has included all of the following upgrades:

    • Cafeteria HEPA Filters: The District has installed at least 3 HEPA filters in every cafeteria and have 2 large industrial fans in all cafeterias to provide maximum fresh ventilation and filtration.

    • Classroom HEPA Filters: The District has provided all classrooms with at least 2 portable HEPA filters to provide 4 air exchanges per hour.

    • Outdoor Dining: The District has ordered tables to ensure that all schools have outdoor dining and increase social distancing to align to county guidance. Many covered dining sets have already been set up, and others will be once ordered supplies have arrived.
