• Teacher: Bob Frazier (Mr. Bob)

I am an artist in-residence and am entering in my 12th year of teaching at Sequoia. Though I play a variety of instruments, I play the piano for composition and the trumpet for performance. Aside from music, I enjoy cooking and fishing.

Goals/Hopes for my classes: To be able to reach the majority of our pupils by giving to them music theory, which is different from what they are use to. My hope with teaching music theory is to give them a strong foundation by the time they enter the 4th grade and have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument.

Current specifics are melody, harmony, rhythm, and composition.

My personal philosophy: To engage and promote critical thinking, not only in music but in life and other subjects so that they can gain the skills and mindset on how to teach themselves. It will teach them how to be open-minded to learning!

Zoom Music Schedule: Everyday between 11:30-2pm (contact your teacher for the specific day and time)
