Frequently Asked Questions about Registration Day
Q: When is Registration Day?
A: Registration Day takes place in early August each year. Please check the School Calendar for the exact date.
Q: Where is registration? Where can I park? What if we're in distance learning?
A: In the past, registration takes place in our cafeteria/auditorium space ("Cafetorium"), which is on the far side of the campus from the main entrance. Ample parking will be available on the blacktop and signage will be posted to help you find the Cafetorium. If mobility issues prevent the use of stairs, please go to the office for elevator access. If we are still in distance learning, registration will occur online. All the relevant documents, links and support will be on our website.
Q: What should I bring to registration?
A: Immunization records are the most important thing to bring. Please also be prepared with contact information for emergency contacts. If you would like to join the PTA ($15) or purchase any Bret Harte clothing for your student, make sure to bring some cash.
Q: What will I do at registration?
A: There will be forms to fill out and various stations to visit in order to ensure that you and your student have completed everything necessary to start school. At the last station in the registration process, you will receive your student's schedule.
Q: How long will the process take?
A: Although it sometimes goes much faster, we recommend families budget about an hour for registration.
Q: When is the best time to arrive?
A: Every year, families are lined up early to register and therefore the process takes the longest at the start of the time frame. Typically, coming in the middle of the time frame has been far less busy.
