I am excited to be joining Brookfield this year as the Instructional Teacher Leader (ITL) focusing on Literacy! I was born and raised in the Bay Area, but I have also lived in Australia and in Oregon where I graduated with my Masters in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College. This is my third year working for Oakland Unified and my eighth year working in education. I’ve taught middle school special education, bilingual education, fourth and fifth grades, and last year worked as a Teacher on Special Assignment at Horace Mann. When not at school, I love to go hiking, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, baking, and playing with my two dogs and cats!
