    Flexible Spending Accounts

     

    A Pre-Taxed benefit used to pay for eligible medical, dependent care, parking or transit expenses.

    FAQs

    • The Healthcare Spending annual maximum is $2650. You can carroyover up to $500 from one fiscal (school) year to the next. You have until September 28th of the same calendar year to submit claims. You will need to contact Wage Works directly at (800) 950-0105.

     

    • The Dependentcare Spending annual maximum is $5000. There is NO monetary carryover from one fiscal (school) year to the next. However, because the District allows a 2.5 month extension for dependent care, you have until September 15th of the same year to incur expenses. You have until September 28th of the same calendar year to submit dependent care claims from the previous fiscal (school) year.

     

    • The Commuter and Transit monthly maximum is $260.

     

    YOU MUST RE-APPLY for your flexible spending account(s) EVERY YEAR during open enrollment.
