Redwood Heights ElementaryStephanie Taymuree, teaches students with severe and moderate disabilities and has demonstrated leadership by coordinating information among professional
s involved in IEP meetings, organizing and developing myriad professional development. Ms. Taymuree has spent her 37-year career at OUSD refining her greatest accomplishment of supporting a child who arrives with no means of intelligible communication and then gains confidence to share feelings, thoughts and personality using the tools and strategies that have been carefully developed and mastered as a result of her personal commitment.
LaRavian Battle
Electronic Learning Program
Sojourner Truth ISP/ELPLaRavian Battle has taught for over 20 years - providing support and leadership to the OUSD community, serving as a coach for beginning teachers. She is well known for her efforts in making the Electronic Learning Program (ELP) wholly successful, emphasizing individualized blended learning through the use of computer programs and college and career readiness. This strategy allows her students to have the personalized resources and wrap-around supports they need to learn at their own pace.
Ms. Battle has an unwavering commitment to the District’s core value of Equity. Student success is her greatest reward.
