February:TPS El Salvador panel discussion, immigration in historical context and current impact of ending Temporary Protected Status visas.
April: Yemen from Global to Local. Yemeni students, teachers and scholars will discuss the history of the Yemeni community in Oakland, the current situation in Yemen and how it all intersects in OUSD.
May 12, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Chinese Exclusion Act documentary and dialogue on the modern-day context as well as an educator workshop with lesson plans and tools for engaging students and community on race, immigration, exclusion and inclusion using excerpts from the film.
