January: Daze of Justice

The first event in the Dream, Resist, Educate: Sanctuary Spring Series was a screening and discussion of the documentary Daze of Justice in response to the the deportation of Southeast Asian American Refugees. Hundreds of Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees are currently being targeted for deportation.  

For more information on this targeted deportation effort, the historical context of SEAA refugees in the U.S. and practical action steps to demonstrate solidarity with the SEAA community see our Solidarity Resource Guide. The Curriculum Workshop for Educators was held afterwards for those interested in customizing materials about Southeast Asian history, war and genocide, refugee experiences, tribunals and community healing for a student audience.
