California Alternate Assessment (CAA)
The California Alternate Assessment is an online summative assessment for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities for English Language Arts (ELA), Math, and Science across multiple states.
The CAA for ELA and Math are available in grades 3-5, 6-8, and 11.
The CAA Science is available in grades 5, 8, 11, and 12.
CAA Test Window
Schools are required to complete CAA testing during these dates:
September 30 - January 30, 2020
April 6 - May 15, 2020
The 2018-19 CAA ELA/Math results are expected in September/October 2019. However, no results will be available from the CAA Science Field Test.
The District is waiting on the state to provide the Student Score Reports (SSRs).
Once received, the SSRs will be sent home with students in November or can be obtained via the Aeries Parent Portal.
This is the last time reports will be sent home with students.
